Bracket Plate for 15/60mm or 15/100mm Support Rods is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from So close This unit seems to be cut from one piece of Aluminum which is lovely as there are few moving parts therefore making it quite handy as a low and sleek platform that can have a rail installed. The only issue I have noticed is that the lever used to tighten the rail does not lend itself to grabbing the rail firm enough to install something that would be mounted to one rail only without slipping. (eg: a remote follow focus) The rail that would be placed into the unit either will be slightly too loose OR the lever can be tightened with a hex wrench (hex wrench provided) to a place as to not have the rail removed without the hex wrench.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid. But..... Purchased this Cavision baseplate for use with my Canon 7D with follow focus and matte box for video. The plate is solid as can be. That's a good thing. The not so good thing is that this baseplate alone didn't provide enough height for the camera and so the matte box would fit. I put a quick release plate between the camera and baseplate and there still was not enough height for the camera lens to line up with the matte box opening. That meant adding a cheese plate between the quick release and baseplate. That provided the room I needed for everything to line up. So it looks like this: camera >quick release plate>cheese plate> Cavision dlsr baseplate. Not the elegant system I had hoped for- but it works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad plate! I bought this to use with my new Sony FS5, creating a Frankenstein rig with a Manfrotto quick-release adapter, a quick-release place, Redrock rails, and a Redrock Follow Focus. After dealing with a couple of connection quirks (fitting the right size screws, getting the adapter lock to work without being blocked by the extended bracket space), it turned out to be a solid piece of gear!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heavy and horrible This plate is big and heavy and the latch to tighten the rods doesn't work very well, I was only able to tightened it by using the included allen key, which is very inconvenient as it would be hidden when I had my tripod plate on under this plate. Had to return it and B&H handled the return quickly without any issues.
