The Zacuto C-Shooter is a quick, easy to set up shoulder-mount rig designed for Canon EOS C-series cameras like the C100, C300, and C500. This rig features a special low-profile baseplate for Canon C-series cameras with 12" rods that run through the length of the baseplate. The rods can slide back and forth to accommodate different lenses and accessory configurations. A comfortable shoulder pad slides on the rods for comfort and ease of use while a 3.5 pound weight sits behind the shoulder pad for counterbalance. To round out the package, the C-Shooter uses the Zacuto ENG grip relocator to comfortably mount a Canon C-series control grip included with C300 and C100 models for easy access.
The Studio Baseplate with 12" (30.48 cm) Rods for C100/C300/C500 from Zacuto is designed specifically for the Canon EOS C100, C300, and C500 cameras. It is exceptionally flat which helps to keep the center of gravity quite low. This baseplate features a pair of 15 mm rods that are 12" (304.8 mm) long running through the length of the baseplate. You can quickly reposition the rods for various lens lengths by loosening the 2 levers, one on each side of the baseplate.
On each side of the baseplate there is also a set of 15 mm lightweight holes. The side holes take 15 mm female rods that are locked with Allen screws. It also comes with 5/32" Allen Key to drive these screws. This gives you a virtually unlimited amount of mounting options. With these side holes, you have the option of turning the baseplate into a cage configuration.
You can even mount a Zwiss Plate with professional batteries on the side of the baseplate when shooting on a tripod for better balance. When not using a cage configuration, the side holes can be used for an EVF, Zacuto articulating arms, rods and more. The baseplate also has standard 1/4" 20 and 3/8" 16 holes on the bottom for mounting the rig onto a tripod.
The Studio Baseplate attaches to the camera with 3/8" 16 and 1/4" 20 screws*. This baseplate is perfect for a rig like the Stinger or an advanced tripod rig with rods extending at the back for external power.
The ENG Grip Relocator for C100/300 from Zacuto allows users to mount the Canon EOS C100 or C300's removable grip onto 15mm rods, for an ENG-style rig with the grip located directly beside the rods. The grip is tethered to the camera with a 24" cable, and once plugged in, users can control the record trigger, power on/off, lens aperture, and a programmable function button for such features as waveform, 1 to 1 zoom, "My Menu" and more.
The ENG Grip Relocator can be used with the Canon EOS C500. However, the C500 does not come with a Canon Grip. A grip must be purchased separately.
The Zacuto Shoulder Pad without Rods is compatible with any standard-size 15mm rods. Once the rods are in the grooves, the pad can be mounted behind your baseplate or underneath your rod system.
You would mount it underneath your system -- using an optional Zacuto Q-Release -- to achieve counterbalance with DOF camera rigs, or -- using an optional Zacuto Zoffset -- to offset your rig and position your viewfinder more comfortably.
The Zacuto Z-LTE Z-Lite 3.5 lb Counterbalance Weight is the Z-Lite counterbalance weight for mounts with 15mm rods. This weight slides on the parallel 15mm rods of lightweight camera mounts and offers a counterbalance weight for long lens packages. It is constructed with stainless steel, rubber o-rings and offers the ability to lock into place.
