The black WP-572 Active 1-Gang Wall Plate HDMI over Twisted Pair Receiver from Kramer is a DGKat twisted pair receiver for HDMI signals. The WP-571 (not included) converts an HDMI signal to a single twisted pair signal and the WP-572 converts the twisted pair signal back to an HDMI signal.

Kramer WP-572 Overview

The black WP-572 Active 1-Gang Wall Plate HDMI over Twisted Pair Receiver from Kramer is a DGKat twisted pair receiver for HDMI signals. The WP-571 (not included) converts an HDMI signal to a single twisted pair signal and the WP-572 converts the twisted pair signal back to an HDMI signal.

The receiver supports a maximum data rate of up to 4.95 Gb/s. DGKat twisted technology converts TMDS as well as control and communication to signals that run over twisted pair cables. EDID PassThru passes EDID signals between the source and display. A single connection to the transmitter powers the receiver.

Transmission range depends on the signal resolution, graphics card, and display used. The distance using non-Kramer Cat 5, 6, and 7 cables may not reach these ranges. Use only shielded cable where both ends of the shield are soldered to ground.

EDID passthroguh passes EDID signals between the source and display
ON LED lights red when receiving power only, orange when either input or output and power are attached, and green when both an active input and output are attached

HDMI Twisted Pair Extenders

This product works GREAT! This was a relatively short run (30') so Cat 5e worked just fine. Both devices powered from one end (Input TX) with this install. They were available, affordable and easy to install. The Power Supply is an inline DC supply, not a plug-in wall wart. This has been my go to HDMI extender kit. Kramer devices always works.
