They say these cables have "4-conductor design". What does that mean? The male connectors appears to have 3 pins.
Standard audio cable has two internal conductor wires which are for positive and negative, and the outer shield connects to ground. The Canare L-4E6S Star Quad XLRM to XLRF Microphone Cable has four internal conductor wires, which is just used for two positive and two negative conductors, and the outer shield is used for ground. This design with doubled conductors helps to provide a stronger signal and substantially reduces the cable's vulnerability to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference when compared with two-conductor cables.
