Switchcraft 35HDBAUPKG Reviews
Nice plug, be careful with tip solder
Nice high quality plug. Be careful that you don't let solder down the tip connector, because the tiniest amount will bridge the small gap to the ring and you'll have a short. Solder with tip up to be extra safe.
King of the mini TRS plugs
The 35HD plug is outstanding. This superb connector will probably outlast whatever it is attached to. I can solder wires to its tabs without having to add a bit of flux on them first, then I firmly close its clamp around the cable to secure it with an iron-clad grip. Its contacts get a great fit in any 3.5mm jack. A handy tube insulator is included, too. If you are a clutz and tend to eventually break the mini plug on cables, this is the replacement plug for you. This one will not break anywhere near as easily as the original plug of any cable using a 3.5mm TRS plug. The similar Neutrik NYS231/226 plugs can easily be bent in a random moment of carelessness, but not this Switchcraft plug. The wide opening in the rear of the casing is big enough for up to 4x22awg cables with outer jacket and all, but I have only ever used smaller cables than that. This is my go-to plug for repairs or building custom cables with the look that I want to help differentiate different cables connected to different equipment more quickly and easily.
