ClearFile 100100B Overview

Clear File's Archival Plus Negative Page is made of acid-free high-clarity 4 mil-thick polypropylene, so it's archival safe for your negatives. This is a 100-pack with each page capable of holding ten four-frame strips of 35mm negatives and fits most tall/oversized ring binders and albums.

Archival Safe - No PVC
This plastic does not contain PVC (plastic enclosures manufactured from polyvinyl chloride) which is not recommended for archival photographic storage.
Rip-Resistant Seals
A stitched sealing method that allows each seal to work independently to resist tearing, unlike straight lines that continue to separate completely once the rip begins. In addition, stitched sealing increases the airflow between pockets and further protects against ferrotyping and moisture.
Easy Contact Prints
By placing a loaded file page (negatives must remain emulsion side down) directly on top of the printing paper, it is possible to make sharp contact prints as well as enlargements for testing and proofing purposes.

Read, measure, re-read, re-measure, then buy

My problem with this item has nothing to do with the quality of the storage pages delivered.  I didn't think about the dimensions closely enough and now I have these long pages that won't fit into the binders that I bought for them.  (Or any other binders that I have around, for that matter.) The dimensions were not listed on the web page for this item. The developer/photo printer that I've used over the years cuts negatives into four-exposure strips.  I saw these pages as a way to store a 36-exposure roll on a single page.  This was going to make my negative storage and photo database dreams all come together.   Now something has to go back and something new ordered.  I'm currently scrambling to figure out what percentage of my large box of negatives are 24-exposure rolls, and what are 36.  Maybe I can order some of the seven-strip x 5-exposure pages to store all my 24-exposure rolls and just have the 36-exposure rolls go into these pages. Moral of the story, do your thinking, measuring, and planning in advance.  You'll have to do it eventually, so it might as well be up front.

4 Frames, only choice

I develop film in @ which gives me only 4 frames/strap, which is really painful as most archival page is 5/6 frames. This one fits perfect for meIt's also very cheap.

See any errors on this page?

question

What box or binder will hold these ClearFile Archival Plus Negative (10 strips, 4-frame) pages? Two options were suggested in an earlier Q&A but B&H no longer carries one of them, and the other is too expensive for the volume of pages we will need.
Asked by: Dale
The Archival Methods 06-102 Binder Box (1.5 O-Ring, Black) B&H # ARBBB is fine to hold these pages.
