Don't get me wrong, this is a quality piece of equipment. I wouldn't expect anything less from Kaiser. My issue is that they lock you into proprietary connections and overprice all their gear.

I have an old Bencher Copymate II. The old mount is not level, and I see no way of adjusting it Would I be able to mount this on to the column and adjust it so that the camera is level for photographing items?

Is it possible to remove the side plates--the ones that provide a "stop" for camera body and that are adjusted by the slotted screws--so that I could attach a large format camera onto the camera mounting plate? Thanks!
You can remove the side plates and use a larger camera with that plate.
