Rated 2 out of 5 by from VERY hard to modify I bought this to hold various bits and pieces to a cage if needed, particularly as an adjustable flag. I was intrigued by the modularity of the system. However, I found it nearly impossible to pop the extensions on and off. The videos show a fellow simply exerting a little pressure and presto. I found that with some difficulty I could pop the connections off, but I could not, no matter how hard I tried, pop them back in again. Another fellow managed to do it, but it took a lot of effort and he was red in the face by the time it snapped into place. I now have a flag that will work with a cage or a contact point on a tripod, but I will not try to modify it in any way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seem stiffer than original Dinkum clips I planned to use this to hold mics in odd places but the clips are REALLY hard to open. This could be a plus or a minus depending on heavy your items are that are to be clipped on, but for me they seem a lot harder to open than the clips I bought a few years back from Dinkum which I loved! I do like that handy pack that keeps the set together, it's pretty nice. Full disclosure I got this on a B&H special deal for $ - truthfully I don't think I would pay the full price for it, I'd still buy the individual clips as needed. Overall this is a handy kit as long as you're aware that the clips are VERY stiff and rigid (I suspect a cheaper manufacturing than the original batch.) Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right tool for the job! I had been looking at the Dinkum System Pro Pack for a couple of years. I was very familiar with the Flexible Conduit used in the core of this system. I was around when this design came out and have seen it used in many places were extreme Flexibility is a must but so is staying put once you get there. I have used it for so many purposes now I know why it was on my wish list for so long. Finding myself in NYC on Fathers Day weekend I got the option to stop a B&H and look for something I really wanted but would never buy myself. Tonight a 7PM game with the field to the do WEST, can you say SUN FLARE! It took 2 mins and that problem was gone. I was able to use the Large Flag, Tube Section and small Spring Clamp, DONE!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For men only I don't know how to rate this product! The build is so strong I cannot separateor join together. Now I'm 260lbs but 73 years old. I never realized my strength was fading until I received this Dinkum system. I tried to soften in hot water but that didn't work. I feel sure 99% of women will have no chance reassembling this unit. For these reasons I think just 3 stars. They need to make a rig to assist assembly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Strong Arm I bought this for an articulating arm for my monitor as well the French Flag as a replacement for a heavy mattebox. It worked perfectly for the purposes I used it for. It's durable, strong, and a well made product. I would have given it 5 stars, however it's difficult to assemble and requires a lot pressure to squeeze some of the individual links together. Overall it's a great buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great set Really nice set that offers lots of flexibility for lots of uses. Only thing missing is a hot shoe attachment (which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5). Great for positioning small cameras in tight spaces or for camera monitors, audio recorders, camera lights, etc. The flag is wonderful if you don't have a matte box & you need to prevent unwanted lens flares.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There really is a professional way! We have all used some ridiculous home made Flags over the years. I have also struggled but managed to get a Sports Camera or Microphone right where I want it. Now it's all in a neat little bag! If you shoot 500 plus images a week or 4-5 hours of non B roll video you owe it to yourself!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Nice Pack of Tools This is a great mix of the various gooseneck products Dinkum offers. The one down side is really a result of one of the pluses this system offers. These are really sturdy and hold their shape well, which leads to difficulty in swapping out parts. Well worth the trade-off, though.
