The Gra-Vue MIO HDMI-CEXT HDMI Single Coaxial Cable Extender is used for transmitting and receiving HDMI video / audio signals over a single coaxial cable up to 328.08’ (100m) in length. This extender averts the issue of signal loss caused by a long DVI / HDMI cable. It features MIO-HDMI-CEXT-T transmitter and a MIO-HDMI-CEXT-R receiver. The transmitter converts the DVI / HDMI signal to serial data and transmits it via a coaxial cable with BNC interface. The receiver receives the serial data and recovers the original DVI / HDMI signal in good quality.
The MIO HDMI-CEXT cable extender automatically detects the input video format and supports a wide range of input formats (525i, 625i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p DVI / HDMI). Although the device adopts DVI interface, the HDMI signal with embedded audio can also be transmitted by using a DVI-to-HDMI adapter or cable, and the original signal, especially the embedded audio, is recovered through the receiver with HDMI interface. Additionally, the MIO-HDMI-CEXT extender is fully compatible with the HDMI v1.3 standard.
