Maglite Mag-Tac overview

  • 1Description

The urban gray Mag-Tac LED Flashlight from Maglite is a handheld illumination tool designed for civilians yet rugged enough for tactical professionals. Its 320-lumen LED light source is capable of producing a beam visible at a range of 200 yards. This configuration of the Mag-Tac has a crowned bezel that concentrates the blunt force of the flashlight housing onto scalloped edges. If an emergency requires the operator to fend off an attacker or shatter a window, the Mag-Tac's crowned bezel can make a lifesaving difference. Stand the Mag-Tac on its head and the crowned bezel will leak light onto the surface of the immediate area, great for low-level illumination like map reading.

Like the other illuminators in their lineup, Maglite built the Mag-Tac for a lifetime of use. This three-function light features Maglite's proprietary Quick-Click mode selector tailcap, which enables the operator to set their desired output mode without cycling through the other modes each time the light is activated. When the tailcap is in the Momentary position, the flashlight will only illuminate while the switch is pressed. In addition to Momentary and Constant activation modes, the Mag-Tac also has a full-power Strobe mode that pulses at 12Hz.

Like other Maglites, the Mag-Tac is machined from a lightweight aluminum alloy, anodized inside-and-out for enhanced corrosion-resistance, and manufactured in the United States. A weather-resistant housing, deeply knurled grip, and included pocket clip help make the Mag-Tac a full-featured illumination tool.

    Maglite Mag-Tac reviews

Mag-Tac LED Flashlight (Crowned Bezel, Urban Gray) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Flashlight Great flashlight, Defiantly holds up to the Maglite name. The only con i would say is the belt clip is made of plastic not metal. I really like the ability to take it on and off and it not just be the normal Maglite clip on style. Just worried that it might break easily. I highly recommend this flashlight for any task where you need to light up a large area. I do not recommend for using for anything you have to work on it is just too bright for that kind of work. Have used it in the early morning for our walks and it lights up the trail with ease. Allows us to see a great distance ahead and allows us to be seen by others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I do love it I was searching for a new, high-powered flashlight in a relatively-smaller size, and without the complication of too many "modes." This is as bright as my much-larger current LED flashlight, while the electronic on-off button on the tail cap is super easy to activate, with "momentary-on" being one light press, "steady-on" with 2 presses, strobe with 3, and "off" from any mode with another steady press - simple (if you don't need lower power settings). The beam's reach and smooth pattern is great. I find the weight just enough to feel sturdy, and 5.25" length are just right, as well. While I haven't used the flashlight enough, yet, to know how long the batteries last, I can say that I am truly happy with this purchase, including the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blinding! I purchased this light specifically to sit on my nightstand for the ability to momentarily blind and disorient an intruder. Before I bought this I had a Pelican P3 and Surefire 6P. My wife had a Maglite XL-50. I compared the three of those lights and my wife's Maglite XL-50 was MUCH brighter than either of mine. So I purchased Maglite Mag-Tac and it is substantially brighter than all of them! The only thing that I somewhat dislike is that the pocketclip is made of a plastic material. I would've prefered it if it was metal, but the plastic seems like it will still do it's job without a problem. In conclusion, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Maglite Mag-Tac! One of the deciding factors for me choosing to purchase a Maglite is the fact that Maglite is proudly made in the USA!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Only cons is that there's no dim option and no red filter accessory... Sometime this flashlight is just too bright.
