This HD5 Underwater Housing from Equinox is a waterproof case for the Canon VIXIA HF M52 Camcorder. It has a depth rating of 330'. Access is provided to essential camcorder functions, including zoom, photo, record start/stop, power on/off and white balance, via manual mechanical controls. Extra controls can be added after your purchase by contacting Equinox and shipping the housing to them. Additionally, a dome port for the camcorder's lens is included, and a wide-angle accessory lens with a 58mm diameter is also supplied, helping you correct for the minimized field of view underwater. The housing is constructed from durable, thermal-based polyvinyl carbonate.
The Ballast Release System enables easy travel and fast transport to the surface. Simply pull on the quick release pin on one of the wings and the wing and ballast/handle are both released; the housing now becomes positive in buoyancy and shoots to the surface.
A 2.5", rear-mounted LCD monitor is supplied, providing better visibility beneath the surface. Additionally, an included external color correction filter for blue water helps restore hues that get absorbed underwater, improving the color accuracy of your images.
