This was my first time using the StarTech serial connectors. I feel they save time in with the snap together serial jacket. As far as soldering they are just as good as any others I have used.

The connector works like it should, but it is a little tight to get into and solder. Be sure to secure the white cable holder and also make sure you put it together right the first time! It is hard to take apart to put in the bolts if forgotten and the plastic isn't very strong. Besides these items it works great.
