I bought this SATA & Power Extension cable to make a G-Drive EV unit work with my Seagate Thunderbolt adapter (the SATA port on the G-Drive unit is just too high for the unit to slide into the Seagate correctly). It took a bit of finagling - with an exacto knife, I trimmed off a part of the rubber casing on the female end so that it would reach inside the EV drive appropriately - but now it works great, and I get incredible transfer rates without having to buy the crazy expensive EV Dock unit!
