The 2-Port SATA to eSATA Slot Plate Bracket from StarTech adds external data support to any existing Serial ATA controller, by adding two eSATA ports for connection to external SATA devices.

The adapter plate can be mounted to the rear panel of a computer case, providing straightforward eSATA to SATA connections. This allows users to connect their eSATA device (hard drive enclosure and more) to the provided eSATA port which is an extension of the motherboard SATA data connector.

The adapter plate is designed to take advantage of the increased data integrity provided by external hard drives or RAID devices that support eSATA connections. Furthermore, it supports data transfer rates of up to 6 Gb/s.

2-Port SATA to eSATA Slot Plate Bracket is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from works Using for my RED Station Mag. While it works as expected, the sata cables are extremely SHORT! Barely made it from my top slot to the top of my sata plugs at the back of my mobo. I mean tight, cables are pulling on my mobo socket to stay connected... You'd think the manufacturers would have measured the length and I dunno maybe add 1mm to ensure success across all mobo's
