The black Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Video Adapter Converter from StarTech offers a cost-effective HDMI/Mini DisplayPort link that allows you to connect an HDMI display to a device with a Mini DisplayPort output. This saves the expense of upgrading the monitor for compatibility. The passive adapter cable requires a DP++ (DisplayPort++) port, which means that the DVI and the HDMI signals can also pass through the port.

The adapter allows for audio pass-through if supported by the video source. It is compatible with Intel Thunderbolt, when connected directly to a supporting DisplayPort over Thunderbolt I/O port.

I use this on my travel laptop when the need arises to show something to a client or simply to watch a movie on a bigger screen in the hotel room. In either case it is the perfect adapter, small, light, and quick to connect and feels secure when attached. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review

Stop working in first week after a few use

Mine stop working without any reason within first week. I pretty sure itis driver but they say you no need it. But it isnot detecting by Win 10 OS at all.

work on my Asus laptop Eee Pc 1005pe-pu17 vga port to a samsung 40J5200 TV.

It's been awhile since I've had time to really Check it out.As for the Avinair mini vga2hdmi. Adapter connected from my eepc laptop to my tv has been working between my laptop to tv. I have been using it just find for tv watching YouTube movies. But I have not use it with Wi-Fi hook up yet. I just got around to ordering Spectrum service..i will know more this weekend when I received my modem kit and setup to WiFi service. As you are saying. That the star-Tech vga to 1080p. HDMI adapter will work better. I don't know what to say.my Avinair cha to HDMI mini seems to be working? Can you please help me figure this out.
