Bought similar adapter after purchasing a 4k monitor, but none of them output above 4k or 30hz. This one allows me to run my 4k monitor, and the quality was an added bonus.

What are the resolution limits on this adapter or ...

What are the resolution limits on this adapter or of a mini display port? Would 5120 x 2160 (21x9) Resolution be supported?

This product appears to be only a port converter that simply allows you to connect mini-DisplayPort sources to DisplayPort displays using a standard DisplayPort cable.Supported resolutions are dependent on the source and the connected display.
