Will 52mm filters vignette on the new (2021) 16mm RF lens?

I purchased this step up ring in anticipation of receiving the as yet to be released (as at mid October 2021) Canon RF 16mm lens. I have a bunch of 52mm filters including ND's and polarisers and don't want to have to buy new 43mm filters. I hope that there will be no vignetting when shooting 4K with the 1.7x crop .... Will post my results here later.

When using this adapter, with a 77mm nd filter on a 58mm cap size lens, will it have any downsides? Or is it gonna look perfect just like a 58mm filter?
When using the B+W 58-77mm Step-Up Ring, photos should look fine using the 58mm cap size, unless one is using a fisheye wide angle lens.

question
Can this be used with filters that aren't B+W brand? Such as Firecrest?
Yes it can be used with other filters

question
The description says it's aluminum, but the reviews say it's brass - which is it?
The one i received looks to be aluminum. I scratched the back(outer) side and it is bright silver, not brass colored. It also feels too light to be even nickel plated brass or some other thing that would produce a silver color. I'd be interested to know why B&H doesn't clarify a product question directly? All the best!
