Great for splitting a TRRS output for stereo headphone (TRS) and mono microphone (TS)

It feels solid and sturdy. The cable is pretty thick and shouldn't break easily. The tip is slim and overall, the cable feels modern. There are very tiny icons on each of the split telling if that end is for headphone or microphone. Better than ugly red/white coloring. It is on expensive side, but you get what you pay: thick cable, sturdy, subtle looking.

Excellent use: Recording or live-streaming from your phone. Improve the recorded/streamed audio sent from your phone, with an external mic that you can place closer to the person speaking. This adapter converts a standard mono mic mini-plug, like from a blue-tooth or wired clip-on, to work with the mic-earbud connection on the phone. Converts to dual-mono in the process. Good audio is the key to good video!

Will this device work with a Zerolemon Extended ...

Will this device work with a Zerolemon Extended Battery Case or with any other Extended Battery Case when the 3.5mm headset is plugged into it and connected to the Extended Battery Case? These Extended Battery Cases have a USB C port where the device can be plugged into the Extended Battery Case... But when I tried other brands, they do not work.

This would heavily depend on the specific case being used. Many have very different sizing. Please check the dimensions of the case that you have and compare it with the StarTech Headset Adapter.

Will this work with a fujifilm x100v camera? I want to record and monitor audio using a Rhode mic and Senal headphones. I have an adapter to plug the StarTech into the camera's audio mic port.

No, the StarTech Headset Adapter will not work as desired with the FUJIFILM X100V Digital Camera. This adapter works with a TRRS input/output connection that is capable of sending signal in both directions simultaneously, commonly found on smartphone and some computer headset connections. The 2.5mm microphone input connection on the X100V is an input only, and will not also send output signal to be monitored via headphones. It is suggested to use the microphone input and headphone output connections of the X100V independently in this scenario.

Yes, so long as you can support audio out of a 3.5mm on your mirrorless camera. The StarTech Headset Adapter would be an ideal solution.

Would this work to connect a shotgun mic to an android smartphone, and at the same time monitor it with headphones?

The StarTech Headset Adapter will turn a 3.5mm audio output port into two distinct ports – one 3.5mm headphone jack and one 3.5mm microphone port, so if your shotgun mic and your headphones have a 3.5 mm input this will work fine.

is it compatible with an Android device, especially a Motorola cell phone?

The MUYHSMFF is used to connect a headset that uses a separate headphone and microphone 3.5mm 3-position connection. Furthermore, the MUYHSMFF requires that the host utilizes a 3.5 mm Mini-Jack (4 position) as per CTIA standard. As long as the connecting devices utilizes these connections, the MUYHSMFF will work.
