The VST 62 I UG Phantom-Powered Stereo Microphone Amplifier from Schoeps is used with stereo accessories of the Colette modular system. It allows for a range of small, lightweight, and unobtrusive stereo microphone arrangements.
A KCY active cable (sold separately) or an RCY active extension tube (sold separately) is required along with 2 Colette microphone capsules chosen for the intended recording technique. The capsules are screwed onto the forward end of the cable or extension tube. The other end of the cable (or the cable which exits from the extension tube) is connected to the VST 62 IUg Amplifier, which amplifies the signals (impedance conversion) so that they can be conveyed across long distances.
