The DTC 1000 Trail Camera from Minox is used to photograph or record wildlife or monitor homes or other property for security purposes. It has an 8MP image sensor and a motion sensor with adjustable sensitivity, which enables you to capture only desired objects and exclude irrelevant ones. It's also equipped with a 2" TFT color display screen with multilingual menu navigation. The 48-LED infrared flash has a black filter in front of it, so that the LEDs themselves, and not just the light they emit as a flash, are invisible. The flash has an effective range of over 50'. Capture HD 1280x720 video with audio in 10-30 sec clips.
A built-in wireless module and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) function enable images to be transferred immediately and directly to your cellular phone or computer, where they'll be accessible via your email account. This enables you to respond to the situation, e.g., an instance of trespassing or breaking and entering, immediately, so you can take any necessary action. The DTC 1000 features Quadband technology, meaning it can use any of the four major cellular phone frequencies to send and receive data--without any hiccups in service. The GSM function requires a cell phone plan through AT&T or T-mobile.
The camera shoots images in color during the day and in black-and-white at night. Benefit from burst mode for capturing several shots in quick succession. Date, time, temperature, and the phase of the moon are imprinted on your images. Additionally, the camera features password protection and can be secured with a padlock.
All data is stored on an SD memory card, which can be up to 32GB in capacity; a 2GB card is supplied with the camera. The DTC 1000 runs on twelve 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. A daily report shows you the total number of pictures and videos captured during the past 24 hours, as well as the remaining battery charge and storage space.
