The MTR201 Condenser Microphone from Samson is a microphone that features a large, 1" gold-sputtered diaphragm with a cardioid polar pattern. Its 10 dB attenuation switch allows it to handle SPLs up to 132 dB, making the MTR201 suitable for close miking instruments, vocals, or even as a room mic. Its internally shockmounted capsule also minimizes touch noise. The MTR201 also features low self-noise and a wide dynamic range.
