Sharp PN-K321 Overview

  • 1Description

The Sharp 32" PNK321 4K Ultra HD LED Monitor is suitable for a wide range of professional applications in settings where detailed information needs to be displayed with precision. It features 32" class (31.5" diagonal) screen size, 3,840 x 2,160 ultra-HD resolution, 24/7 reliability, and energy efficient edge lit LED backlight.

This high resolution display boasts 4 times the resolution of 1080p full HD, enabling users to view the content of 4 full HD screens on a single seamless display. The IGZO technology offers 2 major advantages: high resolution and energy efficiency. This technology supports increased pixel transparency and reduced current leakage, resulting in lower power consumption.

The LED monitor owes its stylish and slender design to IGZO technology and edge-lit LED backlighting. Measuring only about 35mm at its thickest point, this sleek and lightweight monitor blends in effortlessly in almost any location. It comes with a stand and offers a choice of landscape or portrait installation, allowing users to select the mode that best suits their display content and application.

Note: The monitor must be unscrewed from the stand when switching between landscape &s portrait installations.

IGZO (InGaZnO) is an oxide comprising indium (In), gallium (Ga), and zinc (Zn).

32" (31.5" diagonal) screen size combined with the IGZO technology displays high resolution color images with maximum impact.
This LED monitor has an ultra-HD resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 from a single HDMI or DisplayPort cable (included). The small size of semiconductors made with IGZO technology enables smaller-sized pixels, which in turn provide high resolution.
The PN-K321 Monitor supports both DisplayPort and HDMI. Ultra-high resolution video signals can be transmitted via a single easy-connecting, clutter-reducing cable
Edge Lit LED Backlight reduces power consumption and helps enhance reliability and legibility of text.
This Ultra-HD LED monitor is engineered for 24/7 commercial use, which provides the reliability and durability you need for virtually any business.
The display features a slim design with a cabinet depth of only 1-25/64
The built-in speakers with 2W per channel stereo audio system eliminate the need for external speakers and keep the display stylishly streamlined. The speakers emit sound from both sides of the monitor, making them suitable for conveying audio information.
The monitor's adjustable tabletop stand makes it suitable for landscape and portrait installation.
Versatile interface includes 2 HDMI inputs, 1 DisplayPort input, 1 RS-232C input, and one 3.5 mm-diameter mini stereo jack (requires included mini jack converter)

    Sharp PN-K321 Reviews

32" PNK321 4K Ultra HD LED Monitor is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp 32 PNK321 4K Ultra HD LED Monitor I have a new MacPro custom built 8 core. I use my new Sharp PNK 321 monitor for business, editing and all general purpose tasks.I do not believe there is a more clear quality monitor available in the market today. Love the quick wake up, perfection in color quality and ultimate sharpness. The monitor is bright and I do not like being away from the computer, it is that good! The monitor worked out of the box, but at week 5 it quite. This may have been a defective power converter, it is shipped with brick from China. Sharp immediately offered to send a technician to my office, but to save time B and H's awesome customer service department over nighted me branad new monitor. B and H's price also made this jewel of visual technology a lot more affordable then *. If you want a Ferrari experience to match an awesome computer the Sharp 4k is second to none.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from B and H rocks! I bought this monitor to turn my new 15 inch MacBook Pro Retina into a desktop via HDMI. The 4K images are awesome. Resolution, color depth, angle viewing, all are perfect. Of course HDMI 1.4 is limited to 30 frames per second at 4K. But I don't detect unacceptable choppiness in the videos. It is easy to spot up-converted 4K videos from native 4K videos, as any freeze-frame quickly discloses. Converted frames are fuzzy, even though the videos look sharp in motion. Individual frames from native 4K recordings have razor-sharp edges. The adjustability of the monitor in terms of all the professional parameters is great, and the controls are easy to use and readily accessible by feel on the upper right outside frame of the monitor. The total cost from B&H was unbeatable. I have had no issues with ghosting, bleed-through etc. that some other reviewers have listed. It passed all my tests. It's just a big, beautiful, well-behaved professional monitor, and the Moth's Eye matte antireflective coating applied by Sharp does not seem to compromise the blacks too much. I have to get as close as six inches to be aware that it has pixels! The resolution can be lowered (I switch between 4K and 1920 X 1012) in order to read tiny-text menu bars, as most software hasn't yet addressed 4K (still the Wild West). I'm delighted with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST 4K Monitor Available Today! I primarily use the PNK321 for photo & video editing of NEF files generated from multiple Nikon D800 36 megapixel bodies. With file sizes ranging from 15MB JPEG to 50MP NEF, I selected 2) PNK321 monitors to replace 2) 30 Apple Cinema monitors. The detail of the monitor is truly stunning - that is the strongest asset of this monitor. It is the most detail of any monitor i have seen. Engineering is a C compared with the Cinemas. Walk on the hardwood floor near the desk where the monitor resides, and it visually shakes. Tap your foot at the desk to the beat, and the monitor gently bounces up and down - while the Cinema is rock solid on the same desk. Bump into the Cinema, and you may get a bruise with the all aluminum construction. Bump into the Sharp, and the plastic feels as though it may break. The stand is the main difference. The Cinema's stand could support hundreds of pounds; the Sharp barely supports itself. No text scaling is available at the highest resolution, so the text is tiny (about 1/8 high characters) on the Sharp. Double that on the Cinemas, which offer scaling. The non glare screen is a dream on the Sharp - the only monitor that beats the Cinema!! The front center of the PNK321 measures 96 degrees F in a 69 degree F ambient room. This compares with 84 degrees F on the Apple Cinema. You can feel the difference (a bad thing) sitting in front of the monitor. I will use a Dyson Air Multiplier to move the hot air away from my face. The row of adjustment buttons on the right side require enough pressure, you nearly slide or move the monitor across the desk. By comparison with the Cinema, it uses finger capacitive touch sensors! The included Sharp software is Windows only. Mac users have to fiddle with the outdated hard press buttons on the right side. There is no remote. Generic design of the PNK321 starkly contrasts to the expensive looking and feeling Apple Cinema Monitors! Conclusion: Until Apple releases a 4K or 8K Thunderbolt 2 monitor, the Sharp PNK321 is as good as it gets. I am keeping mine, though the mechanicals give me concern. The display quality really is that good!
