converts my bogen 3011 legs from 3/8 to 1/4 on a wide, wide platform for maximum stability for my neewer ball head with 1/4 threads!

I had purchased another tread reducer on Amazon and it tilted the camera (Richo Theta V) just a slight bit ( about 10-15 degrees ) and was not fixable with my tripod and had to be corrected in post. The Desmond was perfect with a nice fit to the tripod and camera. Camera was perfectly level now and with 360's this is a must in my opinion.

It's height is 0.79 .Is it a full height (including top screw) or black painted part only ?
The black base is about 0.75 .The attached thread is about 0.25 in length.

What are the thread mounts on the top and bottom. Description says 3/8 male and 1/4 female but it clearly looks opposite in the images. If mounting to a 3/8 on a tripod, would this reduce to mount a camera with 1/4 on top?
Eric,The reducer has ? FEMALE thread on the bottom and MALE threads on top. It works great! Hope this helps clarify the specifications.Sorry for the long delay in responding, the unit was in storage.
