    Logitech G700s reviews

G700S Rechargeable Gaming Mouse is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mouse, few flaws So far I'm really liking this mouse. Plenty of buttons for my needs, and very programmable. Probably more mouse than I needed. I like the overall ergonomics, but I hate the cord. Granted I mostly use this as a wireless mouse, but I need to use the cord it's very annoying. They should have used a more flexible material for this. Battery life is decent, but not great. For the size of this thing you would think it would have two batteries, but it only has one. Overall though, very pleased with the product. With a few minor improvements this thing could be great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could be better . . . As others have noted, the charging wire is far too stiff; the technology for much softer and more flexible cable is readily available. For a pricey device like this, there's no excuse for not utilizing it. Don't they do ANY user testing?Using the mouse with this cable is an experience you will very quickly learn to dislike. Consider it for emergency usage only. The shape is nicely sculpted, although the four side buttons are a little awkward to sort out tactilely. They should have been bigger and more widely separated. The oddest thing is that the set-up software does not enable you to program a side button as double-click, which we find surpassingly peculiar. One defect is the battery status indication feature. It simply does not work. It does not do anything at all. For a device powered by a nickel metal-hydride rechargeable, that's an annoying shortcoming. By the way, contrary to what was asserted in another review, the battery may not be an Eneloop; ours has a Yuasa AA battery. Does this matter? Who can tell? The supplied USB extension cable will probably prove unnecessary, as the wireless link appears to be solid with the receiver plugged into any reasonably visible USB port. Still, an excellent accessory. We wanted a mouse that was QUIET, meaning two things. First, there could be no extraneous clicks, scrapes, rattles, or other noises or palpable physical vibrations from clicking the buttons. In this respect, the G700s is pretty good, as well it should be at this price. Second, the clicking should be virtually imperceptible, so quiet as not ever to intrude. Here, it fails, but only just. The click noise level is too high, but one can learn to live with it. It's funny how mouse noise is more noisome than keyboard clackery. Now, if they'd just fit it with a pair of LED headlights . . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the Best Mouse Ever Made One of the Best Mouse Ever Made. Highly recommended but keep reading This is without doubts one of the best mouse ever made, and off course by Logitech Laser Mouse; laser sharp sensitivity that pays off, delivering precision at any hand speed No need for Mouse Pad; works across a wide range of surfaces to register even the most subtle of hand movements. {I used on bed, just over the bed sheet on the mattress, with a 17-inch laptop on top of an Adjustable Vented Laptop Table} The mouse is extremely comfortable and well-fitted; naturally shaped grip designed for maximum comfort over hours of use Fingerprint-resistant coating added to the primary buttons Hydrophobic coating helps prevent hand from sticking Polytetrafluoroethylene Low-friction Feet reduce drag for faster motions, smoother cursor movements, and improved accuracy Dry grip on the sides ensures a steady hand 13 programmable controls and 5 profiles (13x5 = 65 buttons in effect if you use the profiles), you can accomplish a lot of things with only one hand just by programing 7 buttons 200 to 8200 dpi, sensitivity switching programmable, use 3 buttons for Cycling, Up, and Down, any way you want it; very low for exact precision, very high for super speed EASY-TO-USE Software to program buttons and profiles (downloadable Logitech Gaming software) Amazingly friendly drag-and-drop settings allow you to customize buttons; assign any key, command, or macro to any button DUAL-MODE Scroll Wheel; hyper-fast, dual-mode scrolling one-button switchable, with free-spinning Sideways Scrolling; wheel also can scroll sideways by clicking the wheel left or right 20 million-click lifespan 3-year Limited warranty Wireless or Wired Wireless is so marvelous and exceptional, but no good for permanent use e.g. an Engineer at work using CAD, or a Professional Photographer using Lightroom The battery drains in about 24 hours, if you don't have at least one spare charged battery, you have to go wired Wireless in this mouse is so precise and stable and produces such a good experience that you wish the battery could last about a week. If you don't use the mouse for 8 hours or so a day, then it may be OK for you Wired is better for permanent use, but The wire is too stiff, no question about it. So hard that it makes no sense; sometimes bothersome and annoying to move Unbelievable that Logitech didn't implemented a softer cable, no excuse here Electric guitar cables can be excessively thick but extremely soft and flexible Why Logitech doesn't use something soft and practical even if it's sick like a guitar cable? Highly recommended. The Logitech G700s Laser Wireless-Wired Mouse feels like a device from the future, so well designed and perfect in the hand, so precise and powerful that it's impressive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good comfortable mouse! Good choice of mouse. Has both wired and wireless options. At least you will not be stranded without a mouse if the battery dies down. Connect the cable and you are good to go!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mouse! It's extremely responsive for online gaming, and adjustable so you can even use it for precise photo editing. It came with a usb to charge the mouse via micro usb and a cable specificlly for the usb dongle for the mouse to get a better signal. Although the usb for the dongle isn't needed it's appreciated. It's standard plug and play, but I would reccomend downloading the software for it! The only downside is the battery. It's your standard NiMH battery so you can't let it fully deplete, but running at higher dpi and performance mode means that you get around 5-8 hours of battery life with the stock battery. The stock battery is an enloop (Sanyo) 2,000 mAh. (just a step down from the best rechargables on the marker with 1k charges and will hold a full charge for 12 months) However, if you replace it with a higher density NimH enloop pro you can squeeze out another 2-3 hours out of it on performance! Normal settings or power saving i can get around 20 hours of battery with just surfing the net. The bottons are great, it's a fairly quiet mouse too. None of the loud rachetting of the wheel of other mice, and everything is fully customizable with 5 profiles via the logitech software which you will need from their website since it's not included. It's easier to download than to try and find a mini cd again should anything happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mouse and I don't mean for gaming I use this mouse as a regular mouse with my Mac and OSX Mountain Lion. The G&00S just glides. It is soooo smooth. I have a Logitech Revolution MX which is more expensive and it's stiff and rough by comparison. I am working in Lightroom and Photoshop and Final Cut Pro a lot, as well as regular word processing, spreadsheets, browsing, emails, etc. This mouse works great for all of these programs. I use it with a Wacom tablet since the mouse is better than Wacom's. The programable buttons are great for the work I do. You can have 5 different profiles so you can program all the buttons for Lightroom, for example, to do the routine commands you use a lot and then have a whole different profile with a completely different set of commands assigned to the various buttons for use with browsing, handling emails and word processing, etc. And then a whole new profile for Final Cut Pro. Switching profiles is the click of a button. I have only been using this mouse for a little over a week but I love it. Best mouse I ever had. You can use it wireless or with a USB cable. It comes with a single AA rechargeable battery and they've included the best rechargeable available which is Sanyo's Eneloop. One word of warning: if you use the mouse in the normal or max gaming mode the battery doesn't last all that long. I have 5 rechargeable AAs. I use them one at a time (probably one a day) and then when I'm on the 5th I recharge the 4 I've been through in a Sanyo charger (important if you want to get the most out of the batteries). You can also plug the USB cable in and charge the battery while you're using the mouse but it's so much handier to use it wirelessly. Highly recommended. I would never have thought to buy a gaming mouse for Photoshop and regular use but it's perfect!
