Will the Arca-Swiss D4 geared tripod head support ...

Will the Arca-Swiss D4 geared tripod head support a Canon R5body/600mm,f/4 telephoto without creep or droop?
Asked by: Kenneth
Yes, the Arca-Swiss d4 Tripod Head with MonoballFix Quick Release (Geared) with its 75 lb load capacity can definitely securely support the Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera with the Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. Keep in mind this only uses Arca MonoballFix-Type plates. If you want to use standard Arca-type plates select a version with a version with the FlipLock Lever or the Classic Knob.

I did remove other Arca Swiss clamps attached to D4 (standard Knob clamp and Lever clamp) so i do not think removing monobollfix is any different and can be easy removed

question

Can anyone tell me if there is a big difference (or what the difference is) between this model and the other two models that are $200+ more expensive. Worth the greater expense? thx
Asked by: Tod C.
The less expensive model only accepts Arca's mount, NOT the L brackets from RRS or Kirk, and although you might be able to switch out the mount,Arca has made it nearly impossible to remove. Buy the more expensive one, you won't regret it.
