Distinguished by a uniquely fast and versatile design, the Sigma SA-mount Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM is an Art-series zoom, covering wide-angle to normal focal lengths. Separating itself from the pack, this zoom features an exceedingly bright f/1.8 constant maximum aperture, which suits its use in difficult lighting conditions and offers impressive depth of field control throughout the zoom range. The optical design incorporates a series of SLD and aspherical elements, which help to achieve high clarity and sharpness by suppressing various aberrations, color fringing, and distortion. A Super Multi-Layer Coating has also been applied, too, which controls lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy. Balancing the optical merits, this 18-35mm also sports an advanced Hyper Sonic Motor, along with an internal focusing design, to promote fast, quiet, and precise autofocus performance.

Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Reviews
I can see why people love this lens
The image quality out of this lens is amazing, great focal range, great bokeh and a nice, constant wide aperture. This is a very good lens for covering events, protest, direct actions, etc. It is bulky and heavy, but that's just a limitation of physics.
Great Lens. Great Price.
This is a really great lens for the price.
VERY GOOD PRICE AND SERVICE , IM START TO USE IT . THANK YOU SO MUCH
The lens is ok. I really enjoy the aperture of 1.8, the quality amd design of the body is fantastic and Sigma put a lot of thought into the lens. However, for the price paid, I'd expect the sharpness to be significantly better. I actually get more sharpness out of my 18-55mm kit lens (about $250) than I do this lens. The auto-focus motors are quite, however, they are still on the slightly slow end (for me). I find that I'm faster in manual focus mode than the lens is. Overall, the lens is a quality piece of glass ,you will take fantastic photos with it, and it will remain in my collection for years to come. Just be aware of the issues with its image sharpness.
Sharp, Light, Fantastic
This lens is perfect as a replacement or upgrade for your kit lens.
Pictures are crisp !!
Yes, this is just a kit lens variant but the pictures are sharper and quiet handy. Does weigh a bit but the accessories that come with it makes it handy carry around.
No for videographers, weighty, incompatible follow focus dev
I used the lens in a BMPpro 6k. It is a weighty lens for its low zoom range. The use of the lens in a Gimbal makes it too heavy with all the set (DJI RS 2 Gimbal). You can move through the gimbal the focus, but if you buy the follow focus(DJI Ronin 3D Focus System) you won't be able to use it, it does not work. The main disadvantage of this lens is you can not use it with follow focus devices. The focus ring does not have a final stop. When the focus reaches the limits, the ring can move and move. This makes it impossible to use it with devices like (Tilta Tiltaing FF-T06 Mini Follow Focus) and be accurate. The use of the rings for focus and zoom are heavy, so you must put more pressure to move them, causing camera movements. If you plan to use autoexposure on the f stops, it becomes a noisy lens; you can hear the ring moving in the recordings. The quality image is ok, but I dont find it superior to any other standard lens.
