The C4000 High-Performance Multipattern Condenser Microphone from AKG can be used for recording vocals and instruments in professional or home studio applications. It has a 1.0" dual-diaphragm condenser transducer that is designed to achieve a warm and dark-sounding tonal character suitable for recording thin vocals and bright brass instruments. The microphone also offers low self noise for recording quiet sound sources such as acoustic guitars. There are transformerless electronics for less distortion at high sound pressure levels and a -10dB pad switch for recording loud sound sources such as electric guitar cabinets.
