The Byte Brothers RWC1000K Real World Certifier (Printing) tests UTP cables and LAN devices for cable type (CAT3, 5, 5e, 6) and speeds from 10, 100, and 100 MB). This certifier can also test coax cable length, open, shorts, and distance to fault. It stores the readings of 250 tests for printing. Cables can be named on the fly before storing.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Early review I haven't had much time with the unit. I received it on Wednesday and sent it to the manufacturer on Thursday. The unit did not work as it was supposed to. Pieces were missing from the package. I suspect this was a return. On the plus side, cross border shopping with B&H was fantastic. I paid them up front for duties and taxes and the product arrived at ,ore door with no hassle. Support from the manufacturer has been outstanding. They agreed to make things right in the first phonecall. Stuff happens, it's how you deal with it that makes all the difference. I'll update the review when I get the product back.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unriliable and can't scan ports After speaking with Byte Brothers support this unit just does not work with newer gigabit switches (supposedly that have green features) but I could not get it to scan any gigabit port, old switch, new switch, router, cable modem, my desktop and 2 laptops. It only scans 100Mb ports correctly. It took me almost a month to finally get in touch with their support and my return period is over. So It will be� a very expensive cable tester from now on.
