FLUX Alchemist Multiband Dynamics Processor

The Alchemist Multiband Dynamics Processor from Flux is a VST 2.4, RTAS, and AU format compatible dynamics plug-in designed for use in mastering and re-mastering applications. It can operate in broadband or with 5 individual bands. Each band features a compressor, expander, de-compressor, and de-expander that operate in parallel. The Alchemist also provides a variety of stereo field control options, including stereo-width mid/side control, and a mid/side transient designer for adjusting your mono and stereo's transient attack times individually.

Flux has incorporated its Angel's Share processing, which determines the component's auto-ratio, and its Hysteresis processing which determines auto-threshold. Both use a proprietary algorithm that reads your audio's dynamic range and your manual settings to determine ratio and threshold. The Alchemist can handle up to 8 channels of audio, making it compatible for up to 7.1 surround sound mixing.

Please note: The RTAS version of this plug-in requires Pro Tools version 8 or later. An iLok is required for this product's license.

FLUX Elixir V3 Multichannel Limiter Native AU/VST/AAX Plug-In

The Flux Elixir V3 Multichannel Limiter Native AU/VST/AAX Plug-In is a true peak limiter designed to increase output level in compliance with ITU0R.BS 1770 and EBU R128 conventions for broadcast, post-production, and mastering. You can select the type of algorithm to do the limiting, and break up the process into up to 4 distinct limiting stages for even more precise control. Input and output gain controls allow you to adjust the levels before and after the signal processing.

A bypass button routes the signal directly to the output stage to transition between the limited and unprocessed signal. To improve workflow, the plug-in features two preset slots, A and B that can be loaded simultaneously with a set of parameters and morphed between using a slider. A global preset of both slots and the position of the morphing slider can also be saved.

The plug-in is built around a 64-bit architecture and utilizes the OpenGL graphics standard to make the most out of your computer's GPU. To reduce artifacts like aliasing, the algorithm utilizes an oversampled reference of the audio to define the gain envelope and then applies the processing to the original signal. It supports sample rates up to 384 kHz, and up to 8 channels of processing at a time.

FLUX Pure Compressor II

The Pure Compressor II from Flux is a VST 2.4, RTAS, and AU format compatible compressor plug-in that can range in operation from clean and subtle to a heavy and pumping style compression. It features a variety of in-depth controls including external side chain inputs for side-chained compression, a wet/dry control that allows you to create parallel processing, and a mid/side width control that allows you to dictate the stereo width of the processing. You additionally have control over the processor's time envelope. Your tracks dynamics can be detected in a variety of modes, including Flux's Solera mode, creating different sonic results.

An integrated VU meter can display a variety of level information including input, output, dynamic processing, summing, and more. The Pure Compressor II can handle up to 8 channels of audio, making it compatible for 7.1 surround sound mixing.

Please note: The RTAS version of this plug-in requires Pro Tools version 8 or later. An iLok is required for this product's license.

FLUX Pure DCompressor II Plug-in

The Flux Pure DCompressor II Plug-in is a full range software de-compressor that you can use to restore lost dynamics in your sound. It enables you to take a heavily compressed signal and convert it to a more natural sounding signal.

The software has input and output gain controls for adjusting levels before and after the signal processing. You can invert the phase of the processed signal and use the dry mix control to blend the original signal into the processed signal for parallel processing. A discrete peak limiter setting rounds off and smoothes out the peaks in audio that would otherwise clip. You can also bypass the de-compressor to observe a clean transition between the clean and processed signals. It features VU metering of parameters such as input, output, level difference, dynamic process summing, and the instant release value. You can control the attack and release the processing time envelope and set the dynamic profile for how the signal is detected. For the de-compression processing, you have dynamic controls over threshold, ratio, range, knee, Peak/RMS, Angel's Share ratio, and the Hysteresis threshold.

The Angel's Share ratio control uses a proprietary algorithim to open up the sound and increase the dynamic impression while retaining some of the crest of the waveform. It blends the influence of the signal detection schemes depending upon the complexity of the signal. The Hysteresis threshold uses a proprietary algorithm to enable compression and de-compression independent of the sound level and can be mixed with the regular compression scheme.

Additional features to the software include external side chain inputs, MS width control for managing stereo signals, a hold parameter, and new dynamic detection algorithms such as classic mode, feedback mode, and maximum mode for tracking the signal.

To improve workflow, the plug-in features two preset slots, A and B, that can be loaded simultaneously with a set of parameters and morphed between using a slider. A global preset of both slots and the position of the morphing slider can also be saved.

FLUX Pure Expander II

The Pure Expander II from Flux is a VST 2.4, RTAS, and AU format compatible dynamics plug-in that provides a range of operation from expansion to noise gating. It features a variety of in-depth controls including external side chain inputs for side-chained expansion, a wet/dry control that allows you to create parallel processing, and a mid/side width control that allows you to dictate the stereo width of the processing. You additionally have control over the processor's time envelope. The Pure Expander II employs Flux's Angel's Share algorithm that is designed to remove noise and reverb from a track.

An integrated VU meter can display a variety of level information including input, output, dynamic processing, summing, and more. The selectable Smooth feature is designed to preserve bass frequencies from being overly processed while the integrated Clipper limiter smoothly rounds off transient peaks. The Pure Expander II can handle up to 8 channels of audio, making it compatible for 7.1 surround sound mixing.

Please note: The RTAS version of this plug-in requires Pro Tools version 8 or later. An iLok is required for this product's license.

FLUX Pure Limiter II

The Pure Limiter II from Flux is a VST 2.4, RTAS, and AU format compatible limiter plug-in intended to be used as the final stage in your audio processing chain or as a special effect for creative applications. It is designed to provide transparent limiting and does not impart any coloration on your tracks. You can select between two display modes while in use; mode A displays the original and limited waveforms simultaneously while mode B displays the limited waveform, the limiter action, and a histogram of the release value.

The adjustable release time parameters allow you to control how long the limiter limits your audio once the threshold is reached. The Pure Limiter II's channel link feature allows the limiting on one channel to control the limiting on the second, creating consistent stereo limiting. The audio look ahead can be set for up to 20ms and gives the limiter a preview of incoming audio, preventing distortion from impending peaks in your track. The Pure Limiter II can handle up to 8 channels of audio, making it compatible for 7.1 surround sound mixing.
