question

Is it the same cap as the original that comes with the lens? It kept falling off my lens and this week-end, lost it permanently in a stream. Is there an alternative?
Asked by: Jean-Francois D.
I would imagine that it is the same as your original lens cap. I purchased this as a replacement and have not had any difficulty with it staying on the lens. There are some aftermarket lens caps. I tried one aftermarket lens cap, found it difficult to grab it with my fingers, so I went back to the Zeiss and it seems to work fine. Good luck. One last thought if you are using a filter, perhaps that changes the way in which the lens cap wra if you are using a filter, perhaps that changes the way in which the lens cap grabs.
