Device and security configuration has also been simplified thanks to the browser-based configuration utility.

Supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operating frequencies
Includes two detachable antennas to increase wireless signal strength

Four Modes of Operation

Network Bridge
  • For a wider wireless range, connect the N300 Wireless Access Point to your router via Ethernet cable.
  • The N300 connected to the router will communicate with access points in other rooms across your home or home office.
  • Those access points will connect to your wired network – so you have a wider wired network without adding any more wires to your home.
  • To give multiple wired devices the power of an extended wired network, add a network switch.
Wi-Fi Access Point
  • Extend your home network and reduce dead spots by adding Wi-Fi capabilities to your wired network.
  • Simply connect the access point to your router or other wired internet adapter, and place it where you need a wireless boost.
  • For even greater flexibility and range, use along with a Powerline adapter (sold separately), which uses your home's electrical wiring to transmit internet signals.
Wi-Fi Media Connector
  • Connect wired TVs, gaming consoles, media streaming devices, or desktop computers, to your wireless network.
  • Connect the WAP300N to your device via Ethernet cable, and experience a powerful Wireless-N connection.
  • A direct, wired connection makes for more reliable streaming and gaming.
Range Extender
  • Increases your Wi-Fi coverage by repeating the wireless signal of your router.
  • Configuration is easy through a web-based setup interface.
  • Works with any router.

    Linksys WAP300N reviews

    WAP300N Wireless-N Dual-Band Access Point is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features but poor setup instructions. I bought the Cisco Linksys Wireless Access Point WAP300N 6 months ago and it is working as advertised. I have it set up in the Wireless Media Connector mode and have it connected to a Cisco Linksys Switch SE1500. This effectively extends my "wired network" for equipment in another room that is not wireless. For this configuration the only problem I have had is the setup instructions - they leave out one important first step.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for its price The setting up of the access point is pretty easy. If you buy an access point you probably know how to set it up. The down side of the web interface is that every time you make a change the access point needs restart. And the web interface doesn't really scale very well (it stays small). But you get what you pay for and the range of the device isn't bad. Only to bad it only had a 100mbit/s port

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mising signal after one year I bought this product one year ago. Easy to set up and install expanding my wifi network. However, one year later, the signal is not as it used to be. When trying to connect with whatever device (smartphone, computer..) from locations that formerly where perfectly working it simply doesn't connect!. When comming close to the antenna (3meters) the connection finally operates. What happened?, some failure in the components??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong Signal The WAP300N access point works fantastic. Easy installation. Hard wired from Linksys E2500 router to remote access point in center of house. Disabled router wi-fi. Only using access point now with stronger signal throughout our entire home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works I needed a wireless" range extender" that took input from RJ40 cable. It works well and was easy to set up. I wish they made one with the new bands. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to can the old network name.
