The MM-CBM-Mini Miniature Battery/Filter Module from Microphone Madness is an easily concealable unit that is small in size and compatible with most MiniDisc, DAT, and video cameras available today. The battery module powers the microphone, including electret-based mono/stereo mics, by providing 9 VDC power via three cascaded 3V lithium batteries (sold separately). By not depending on the recording device to supply power, this extends the recorder's battery life. The module also allows the mic to handle higher sound pressure levels (SPL) without any distortion.
