Canless Air System CA-202 overview

  • 1Description

The Industrial Unit model O2 Hurricane from Canless Air System is a chemical-free, reusable cleaner for electronics, houseplants, and more. The Canless Air System has an integrated air compressor that allows the O2 Hurricane to re-pressurize itself using ambient air. A fully pressurized O2 Hurricane is capable of continuously outputting a 200mph stream of air for up to 12 minutes, and equals the capacity of approximately 1000 cans of canned air. The O2 Hurricane Industrial Unit can be recharged up to 500 times; simply connect the unit to a standard AC wall outlet to repressurize. Unlike a conventional can of compressed air, the O2 Hurricane is reusable, non-toxic, chemical-free, residue-free, non-combustible and non-flammable.

Outputs a 200mph stream of air; capable of up to 12 minutes of continuous use
Full charge capacity is equivalent to 20 average-sized cans of compressed air
Built-in compressor can re-pressurize unit up to 500 times
Recharge via standard AC power outlet

    Canless Air System CA-202 reviews

O2 Hurricane (Industrial Unit) is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Canned air vs. O2 air Canned air is still stronger but won't last as long, it does solve a few problems with canned air as for health, safety/pressure that the canned has but if you need power over this I would buy a compressor if you can and run the hose with a vampire nozzle over this and that will outlast an O2 Hurricane industrial. It is great and portable if you need that. (I gave it 3 stars for being weaker than canned air) and (I took another star for the manufacturer for not putting out honest tests results so you know what it really does before you buy it and it is more noisy than canned air if noise is a problem for you.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as brilliant as the hype suggests, but does the job. The blurb for this product made mention of the 200mph or so wind speed from this gadget, which sounds good but doesn't feel much stronger than a good blast from a Giotto Rocket Blaster. However it does have the advantage of delivering a continuous air stream and has some useful little attachments. I have never bought canned air because of the price so I can't compare it with that. I do some camera, lens and computer repairs just for myself and I think it will be fine for that work. Some people have reported it to be noise, and it may well be. But it is an air blower and they make noise. It's just a fact of life. It made no more noise than I expected it would. It's well built and designed and particularly good at getting into the heat sink fins on a CPU so I'm happy. I wouldn't have named it 'Hurricane' though, perhaps 'Very Windy' might be more suitable. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but LOUD I was happy to find this as a replacement for expensive, wasteful and environmentally dubious canned air. There were no instructions in the package, but all you need to know is online: The manual says using the straw decreases air volume and this appears to be true. It is more powerful than a rocket blower, not quite as strong as canned air. However it doesn't lose power the longer you use it the way canned air does. It's strong enough to clean dust off of equipment, and for blowing cat hair and other schmutz off my negatives prior to scanning. And now the downside: It's loud. Not just loud but at a high pitched frequency that rattles deep into my skull. I don't use it late at night when the kids are sleeping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noise, but not strength of a hurricane While the O2 Hurricane is a great idea for those of us who are either environmentally concerned or budget constrained, it doesn't live up to the hype. The noise scared my dog off when I turned it on, and my wife has relegated the product to my office upstairs. By attaching the included straw, the air volume that the Hurricane generates is increased sufficiently to dust off a keyboard or lens, but can't hold a candle (nor snuff one) to compressed air.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Performance I was so impressed with the unit I purchased that I ordered a second one as backup. I use it to blow loose dirt/dust from optics such as telescope objective lenses, eyepieces, as well as camera and binocular optics. It produces a strong, constant flow of air unlike canned air that works best in short bursts. It is not as strong as canned air, but still works quite well. It works at any angle without fear of spraying gunk out of the nozzle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty OK Works great for general cleaning and dusting, hovewver it is QUITE noisy and does not have the same power as canned air. Great for bags, keyboards, computer cpu, etc. and much cheeper in the long run over canned air for large electronics. Great to have around but its not replacement for canned air or bubble blowers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It did well It is not as strong as Dust Off Duster, but at least it does it's job. It also save money in long run. I use it for cleaning camera and lenses, the result is good, better than those manual air blower, but can't compare with can-air.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good volume These units have good volume but don't have as high of pressure like can air; we have a very dusty work place and ours has no problem blowing out our PC, laptop and copiers
