Luxor Adjustable Height Steel A/V Cart Reviews
Junkie
The design is not good... there are 4 screws on the top table to hold the keyboard tray, so you can't use a mouse easily with your computer. Bad engineering. Three guys at our office looked at it and we can't get it to stop wobbling... looks like one of the legs is shorter than the others. For four hundred dollars you don't get much for your money.
Poor welding but stable for now
We ordered 2 of these and they shipped pretty fast and arrived in only a few days. I opened up the first package and quickly noticed the welding is subpar. There was a minor dent on the side of the top section, which I will blame on shipping. There was also scratches/scrapes on the side of the cabinet as well as other random spots which couldn’t have happened during shipping so it must have been shipped that way. The instructions were outdated because the rail system was already put together but the instructions still stated that there were some parts/pieces that should be in the box that weren’t. The nuts that locks in the bolts of the arms to the cabinet were terribly designed. There was no way to use a regular socket wrench to at least hold the nut while tightening the bolt from the outside, so I did my best with pliers. Lastly, it would be GREAT if the rubber mat used for the top shelf could also come with a precut hole to match the hole that is on the top platform for cable management. I had to, as neatly as possible, cut out my own hole with a box cutter which doesn’t make sense since this cart was created with holes for that very reason. I find it silly that I had to do that even though the whole concept of the cart is to allow easy access to manage the cables. All in all, I hope these last many years of abuse in the school system, but I don’t see us ever buying these particular carts again.
