The 27" iMac Desktop Computer from Apple is an all-in-one desktop computer with an ultra-slim unibody design. Measuring at just 5mm at its edges, the iMac has 40% less volume than its predecessor. The body of the iMac isn't the only thing that got thinner. The LCD display is now 5mm thinner, and Apple also removed a 2mm gap between the LCD panel and the glass to save even more space.
The 27" widescreen display features LED backlighting for vibrant, accurate color. With in-plane switching (IPS) technology, the iMac has a wide 178° viewing angle. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and Full HD 2560 x 1440 native resolution, supported by an nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M graphics card with 512MB discrete GDDR5 memory.
Just because it's thinner doesn't mean the iMac sacrifices performance. The iMac features a quad-core Ivy Bridge 2.9GHz Intel Core i5 processor. The processor can also be overclocked up to 3.6GHz, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The included 3M Privacy Filter Screen is designed to allow you to maintain privacy when accessing sensitive information on your 27" iMac. On-screen data is visible only directly in front of the monitor. While applied, the custom-cut film won't blur or distort anything on the screen. It also protects the screen against dust, dirt, scratches and scuffs. The application adhesive is specially formulated for display screens. The reversible design of the film features one matte side and one glossy side. Additionally, the film is made in the USA.
