The Cokin Snap! Filter and Holder Starter Kit is an all-inclusive, ready-to-use filter kit that is well-suited for use with mirrorless and small DSLR cameras. The kit contains a 37mm adapter ring, a Cokin A Filter Holder, and both a Sunset and an ND4 filter. The combination of these two filters provides greater creative control over the exposure and coloring of imagery while the Cokin A filter system provides an efficient means for using a wide array of Cokin's creative and technical filters with compact cameras.
The ND4 filter is a solid neutral density filter that provides a two-stop reduction in exposure. The 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally requires. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
The Sunset 2 warming filter is a graduated color filter that helps to specifically add a deep warm, orange coloration to skies and other bright areas of the image while allowing a portion of the image to receive a lighter, more natural orange coloring. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to the lighter orange color by the middle of the filter with an even line of transition between the two tones.
Both filters are constructed from CR-39 optical resin and measure 2.6 x 2.6" / 67 x 67mm. The included filter holder supports all Cokin A-sized filters and the included adapter ring enables the attachment of the filter holder to lenses with a 37mm filter ring diameter.

Its graduated, edge-to-edge coloration can be used to create an intentional warming effect, which features gradation, over an entire image. This filter can be used to enhance an existing sunset within a scene or to simulate a sunset to enhance a hazy or colorless sky. The Cokin A Series Graduated 0.6 to 0.3 Sunset 2 Filter is densest at one edge with up to a 0.6 density that tapers to approximately a 0.3 density at the other edge. This filter's 0.6 to 0.3 density range corresponds to a reduction of light from entering a lens by two stops to one stop.

The Cokin A Series Filter Holder is designed to accommodate multiple Cokin A Series Filters in order to help create the shot you envision. It can hold up to three rectangular filters, or two rectangular filters and one round filter such as a rotating circular polarizer, for the Cokin A Series Filter Holders.
Rectangular Cokin A Series Filters are 67mm-wide and 1.6mm-thick. A Cokin A Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring can be used to connect this filter holder to the front of a lens.
This adapter ring is specific to Cokin's "A" series filter holder.
