The Revo VRS-LANC Wired Remote Control for Camcorders with LANC Terminal allows you to control zoom, start/stop recording, take photos, and power on/off compatible camcorders from up to 5' away. It connects via a LANC connector and features an integrated clip for attaching to your tripod's pan handle for quick and convenient access while shooting. HiIs this fully compatible with Canon XA10 which has LANC connection? I am looking for an either wired or wireless remote that must be able to turn on/off power of the camcorder. Currently have Canon wireless remote that does everything except turn on/off power.
This has worked for me in the sense that you have to turn the camera on Leave the screen in the open position.Then you can use the slide button on the side to power it off and on.

The Canon XA11 has a LANC connection for a remote control, which is the kind of connection this controller offers. It should work well with the XA11.

Both the Ninja and Shogun Inferno models have a LANC connection. This remote should work with both monitors.

When I plug this into my Sony PXW-X180 all it ...
When I plug this into my Sony PXW-X180 all it does is turn my camcorder off. When I slide the power switch it turns on, but since it can't stay in the on position, letting it go turns the camera off. If I hold the power switch to keep the camcorder turned on, the other buttons don't do anything. Is it just not compatible??
