CyberPower CP1000PFC Overview

The CP1000PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System from CyberPower has a capacity of 1000VA/600W, ten (10) NEMA 5-15R receptacles and on (1) maintenance-free, user-replaceable 12V/9Ah battery. Its automatic voltage regulation (AVR) technology delivers clean and consistent AC power, protecting connected equipment and preventing costly business interruptions.

This CP1000PFCLCD offers connectivity via a USB Type-B port and one (1) DB9 serial port. Protection for network (RJ45) is also included. EMI/RFI filters increase the immunity of the load to noise disturbances. Also, the multifunction LCD panel displays real-time UPS vitals for ease of control.

Lastly, this UPS is ENERGY STAR qualified to save on energy costs by reducing energy consumption and heat buildup.

Battery Backup
Supplies power long enough for equipment to properly shut down when utility power fails. Helps prevent loss of data and minimizes the component stress caused by a hard shutdown.
Surge Protection
Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage.
Sine Wave Output
The UPS generates energy that is identical to, or cleaner than the utility company's power grid. Benefits include low total harmonic distortion, minimal electrical noise, and optimal line clarity.
Multifunction LCD Panel with Color Display
Displays immediate, detailed information on the UPS battery and power conditions. The color display quickly alerts users to potential problems before they can affect critical equipment and cause downtime. Screen tilts up to 17 degrees for easy viewing.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
AVR increases the AC power and maintains a safe voltage level without switching to battery mode and conserving battery life.
USB Charge Ports
Rapidly charge and power USB devices whether the UPS is providing utility or battery backup power.
Data Line Protection
Prevents power surges that travel through Ethernet lines from causing damage to electronics.
Widely Spaced Outlets
The widely-spaced outlets allow you to conveniently add transformer-sized plugs without blocking other outlets.
Line Interactive Topology
Exists when a line interactive UPS has an autotransformer that regulates low voltages (brownouts) and over voltages (spikes) without having to switch to battery.
ENERGY STAR
This model is an ENERGY STAR certified Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. ENERGY STAR is the trusted, government-backed symbol for energy-efficient products and practices that help save money and protect the environment.
GreenPower UPS Bypass Design
A patented design that allows utility power to bypass the UPS transformer, when AC power is stable, which reduces energy consumption, noise, and heat buildup.
Ultra Quiet Design
Minimizes noise during operation for a quieter work environment.
PowerPanel Personal Edition
Provides a user-friendly dashboard interface for controlling and monitoring the UPS. This software is available as a free download.
Connected Equipment Guarantee
CyberPower will repair or replace properly connected equipment up to $350,000 if it is damaged by a power surge.
Limited 3-Year Warranty
CyberPower will repair or replace a defective UPS system (including batteries) within three years of the purchase date.

This unit is rated for a full load runtime of 3 minutes and a half load runtime of 9 minutes. It would depend on the power draw of the items you had attached to the UPS.

During a blackout, the CyberPower CP1000PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System has an alarm that will sound—two short beeps, followed by a pause. However, this sound can be muted if needed.

Will this be enough for an imac m1 and a lacie d2 hardrive?
Asked by: Wil
The battery output of this model can support up to a 600 Watt draw, as long as the two devices draw less than 600 Watts, this backup should work well. If you would like more information or have any other questions, feel free to reach out to our Technical Support team at 1-877-297-6937 and select option 1. Thank you for your question!

question

What are the benefits of having a UPS with pure sine wave as opposed to a UPS with a stepped approximation to sine wave?
Asked by: Edward
Be sure you know exactly what you need for your specific PC before you buy. I bought the simulated sinewave model (BRG1000AVRLCD) and it did not work for my Dell desktop PC. After many email exchanges with CyberPower tech support, the conclusion was my Dell PC needs a pure sinewave model, so I have a $155.00 paperweight that I can't return. The product descriptions don't properly alert the average consumer to everything they need to know, prior to picking the correct battery backup system.

Asked by: James
Yes, it's just a UPS (nothing to do with OS's), you can use it with or without management software.
