Redfield 67605 overview

  • 1Description

The 10x42 Rebel Binocular from Redfield has the build quality and optical performance to make this set of glasses a go-to optic for budget-conscious naturalists and hunters. This durable binocular has a nitrogen-filled, rubber-armored polycarbonate housing that provides weather-resistant performance while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. Rubber gripping ridges on the center focus wheel are deeply knurled and enable precise focusing in wet or cold conditions—even while wearing gloves. Further enhancing the user-friendly features of the Rebel binocular is a comfortable 16mm eye relief and twist-up eyecups that are especially accommodating for eyeglass wearers.

Aside from the construction and handling features that Redfield packs into their binoculars, the 10x42 Rebel boasts a fully multicoated optical path that has BaK-4 prism glass. The resulting images are transmitted with enhanced brightness and contrast, allowing the viewer to appreciate a fine degree of detail and color saturation. An ability to focus to within five feet, as well as an expansive 65° apparent viewing angle make these glasses ideal for close-up viewing tasks like birding; their 10x optics gives them enough magnification power to handle most other recreational observations as well.

Redfield backs their entire lineup of sporting optics with a "No Excuses" Lifetime Warranty, which protects the optic against manufacturing and material defects for the life of their original owner. Consistently delivering quality, reliability and affordability is what Redfield strives to do best.

Redfield 67605 reviews

10x42 Rebel Binocular is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Binoculars Very sturdy binoculars, slightly heavy but are comfortable to hold and the neoprene strap feels comfortable around your neck. Images are very clear. I really like that you can focus in to close objects as well. I mainly use these for birding and they worked extremely well for watching bald eagles hunting along a river. My wife used them for 4-5 hours and loved them. Please keep in mind, prior to these, I've only used a cheap pair of Bushnell 8x21 and the Celestron Landscout 12-36x60 spotting scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Budget Binos I use my Rebel's for hunting in PA and wildlife viewing in Yellowstone and Denali. The optics are crisp and clear. Twist up eye cups make it simple to obtain the full field of view with glasses or without. Separate diopter adjustment helps in obtaining a crisp image when I hand these off to my wife. I compared these to Nikon Pro-staff, Vortex, Leupold Arcadia, Nikon aculon and Cabelas brand and the Rebels had the clearest image. Neck strap included works well. They are a bit heavier than most of the others, but this is not an issue for me. The only negative is that the objective lens caps are not attached and thus will be easy to lose. B&H is awesome when it comes to service. I ordered on a Monday morning and the package was at my door before noon the next day. Not bad for FREE shipping!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Glass! I use these for birding and hunting, and have found them to be really great for the cost. I compared them to some $ binocs I use at work, and there was really no difference in the optics, but these were a bit heavier. But heavy = steady, too. my only beef is that the strap mounts are pretty tight - in order to use the Nikon suspender harness, I had to fashion loops using black zip ties pulled up to 3/8 dia through the strap mounts. Worked great, though. I would buy another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, what more can I say. We bought these as a gift for my dads 90th birthday. What a perfect gift to give someone who had always hunted all his life. Now he sits and watches the views from across the bay in his home. They are just right in weight for him, as they weigh well under 2 lbs. Great for close-ups too. You made a tired old man very happy receiving these binoculars as a gift, he loves them. Thanks B&H for helping me pick out the right one for dad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what the doctor ordered I bought these for four main reasons: 1) 10x magnification my other binoculars are 8x because I was hesitant to start off with a higher magnification due to reading general reviews by people saying they have difficulty to hold steady enough to get a good look at an object of interest. However, I've never had any troubles with either magnification, and so prefer 10x over lesser powers (my next ones may very well be 12x). 2) Close Focus My aforementioned 8x binoculars have a very poor close focus, which is something I did not think would be a problem (mostly out of ignorance and overconfidence). Finally getting binoculars with a very good close focus these are sub-3-feet for me has been very relieving. 3) Waterproof I have done lots of birding and nature watching in wet and rainy habitats and plan on continuing to do so. I haven't tested just how waterproof these are yet, but am trusting the advertising. 4) Price These binoculars are, by a wide margin, the cheapest I could find that included all the three previous criteria. The only (slight) downsides to these binoculars are: 1) A little on the heavy side, but not an issue for me; they just feel more robust than anything. 2) Sensitive focus wheel it's about a quarter turn from 4 feet to infinity 3) The provided neck strap is long (though quite comfortable). Fully cinched up, it's just longer than I the length I have set on my other binocs. In summary, I bought these 10x42 Redfield Rebels in because they have all the features I found to be desired in my other binoculars and at a very reasonable price. I can say that they have met and exceeded my expectations, and have no regrets on the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought another pair for a friend I use these binoculars for field archery so it was important to me to get good low light performance and clarity. Great build quality and weather protection for an exceptional price. Super easy to focus and handle, awesome product. Showed these to a friend who immediately said get me a pair...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very clear Used for turkey hunting, very clear, easy fast focus, much better than my Bushnell 10x50. I wear glasses, and have no problem seeing through these. And the price is right, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase These binoculars are very crisp and clear, without the high price of other brands. I would recommend purchasing these to anyone.
