This PageWide Technology utilizes a stationary print bar that spans the width of a page to print documents in a single pass, making it capable of color print speeds of up to 36 ppm in ISO testing, or up to 55 ppm in a general mode. It is even capable of automatic duplex printing for twice the speed and half the paper usage. In addition to this speed, the X451dn is very efficient, using about half the ink and energy consumption of comparable laser printers, and it has a high resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi.

The printer features three trays for holding paper and has a maximum print size of 8.5 x 14" for standard office paper. Also, it can hold up to 550 sheets and has a monthly duty cycle of about 50,000 pages. The X451dn connects to the computer via USB 2.0 or Ethernet 10/100Base-TX for networking capabilities. This allows for mobile devices to connect to and print by using HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint, or Google Cloud Print services. It is even ENERGY STAR qualified.

HP PageWide Technology
PageWide Technology utilizes a stationary print bar that spans the width of the page to print documents in a single pass.
