It is a bit of an awkward size. It is not flexible enough to roll up well, it is pretty rigid, but if you plan to store it flat you're fine. One note, this is a 1xStereo-to-2xStereo cable. This is not a stereo to dual-mono Y cable. If you try to use it like that then you will get both in the left and nothing in the right. I needed both, but I just wanted to clarify.

Like other Kopul cables, the 3.5mm Stereo Y-cable is an excellent addition to your sound gear. Given their length, the cables are soft and relatively flexible, and they work and sound perfectly.

Yes, you could use the two female 1/4" plugs of the Kopul Stereo 1/4" Y Cable (B&H# KOHPSSP) to combine two stereo (or mono) sources of an audio signal and to send it to the 1/4" male plug. Such a connection should not be made above line level, however.
