The built-in Wi-Fi lets you instantly transfer your files to your computer (Windows or Mac), smartphone, or tablet (iOS or Android). Because the scanner uses its own wireless network to communicate with your device, no Internet connection is required to transfer files. Additionally, the IRIScan Book 3 Executive lets you transfer files to a PC, Mac, tablet, or smartphone

Scan Any Flat Surface
Slide your scanner over the document to capture the image at up to 900 dpi. Use the lower 300 dpi resolution to capture a page in as little as 3 seconds (color)
Scan without a Computer
The scanner runs on 4 AAA batteries and can save scans to a memory card so you can scan all your documents without being connected to a computer
Transfer Documents via Wi-Fi or USB
You can use the built-in Wi-Fi compatibility to transfer your images to your computer (Windows and Mac), smartphone, or tablet (iOS and Android). The free IRIScan Book App available on Apple's App Store and on the Google Play store connects your device to your IRIScan Book Executive 3. The scanner uses its own wireless network to transfer the images, so no configuration or Internet connection is necessary. Alternatively, you can transfer your documents to your computer or scan directly to the computer using the provided USB cable
Convert Your Documents into Editable Files
Convert text from your scanned documents into editable Word, Excel, or PDF documents. After your files are converted you can edit, archive, or export them to a cloud-based service such as Dropbox or Evernote in a single click
Create Searchable PDF
Readiris converts scanned documents into searchable PDF files using OCR
Scan directly to PDF or JPEG
Scan to PDF or JPEG file format and choose from options including resolution and color or black and white. You can edit the settings directly from the scanner, without having to connect it to a computer

question

how to activate my scanner with serial number provided ?
Asked by: Anonymous
You should not have to activate the scanner with your serial number to use the scanner. However, if you are inquiring about registering your scanner's serial number with the manufacturer, you would visit the manufacturer's website and go to their Support Page to Register Your Product with the manufacturer.http://bit.ly/2ePJqz4

How do I change the date of the files?
Asked by: Anonymous
If you are speaking of the creation date of the file, most likely you will only be able to do that with your computer and not the scanner software.

I will be visiting a few libraries to South American in a month and need a portable scanner for sheet music, newspapers and magazines; I am not sure they will have connectivity or outlets available in case batteries run out during my sessions. I own a Mac BookAir, would this one be appropriate? Thanks, Albert
