The MGE 2 U-Talk/Basic Ports Communication Card from APC enables management of UPS by connecting it directly to the network. It provides two communication ports that may be configured for Serial/RS232 Port (U-Talk) and basic (AS400-type dry contacts). Furthermore, the card is equipped with two communication channels which can be used simultaneously but completely independently from one another. The card is directly connected to the back of the rack reserved for transverse communication cards. It can be inserted and withdrawn without any problem.
The communication card complies with the Microsoft plug-and-play standard for PC peripheral identification.
