DPA Microphones 4061 Overview

The black 4061 Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic with XLR Adapter from DPA Microphones is designed for use in performance and theatrical applications. It features a pre-polarized condenser element with a vertical diaphragm that is designed to accurately reproduce vocals and acoustic string instruments.

The 4061 includes interchangeable capsule protection grids that alter the signal character of the microphone. A "High Boost" capsule creates a peak at 12kHz, creating an airy texture to audio signals. The "Soft Boost" capsule creates a subtle boost between 8-20kHz, enhancing signal presence. With a SPL rating of 144dB, the microphone has the headroom necessary to handle powerful transients without clipping. A windscreen and mic clip are included.

Omnidirectional Pattern
The omnidirectional condenser mic polar-pattern does not need to be aimed directly at the sound source when recording. This offers more detail and a natural sounding sonic character when recording in various environments.
A Durable Package
The discreet 4061 miniature mic is designed to withstand the toughest of conditions. A double vent protection system provides a greater resistance to humidity and sweat. The microphone features a reinforced cable relief, gold treated diaphragm and microphone housing, plus a kevlar reinforced cable and is made to endure
MicroDot to 3-pin XLR (P48) with Belt Clip
The adapter for powering miniature-microphones via standard P48 phantom power is the DAD6001. It is active signal balanced and improves suppression of induced electromagnetic noise. Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) is better than 60 dB from 50 Hz to 15 kHz. The adapter is functional at 12 V phantom power but needs 48V ± 4V to reach full specifications. The DAD6001 is designed for use with miniature-microphones from DPA only. A belt clip is included.
