AKG ST6 PRO Overview

The matte-black AKG ST6 is a tabletop stand designed to hold an XLR gooseneck microphone for presentations and conferencing.

The ST6 is compatible with a wide range of microphones including gooseneck microphones of the DAC, DAM, and DAM+ series. It is equipped with a female XLR input connector and a male XLR output connector. The high-quality connectors provide long-lasting and secure contacts, and are shielded to protect against EMC noises and buzzes coming from smartphones.

Because of its heavy weight (2 lb), the ST6 is able to absorb shocks and holds the microphone firmly in place on desks, conference tables, lecterns, and pulpits.

A Good Base For Your Gooseneck Mics

At our church we had several Audio-Technica 12 and 16 gooseneck mics that we had used in the pulpit and lectern.  Having mostly gone to using headset mics I hated not having a use for such good mics so I saw this base at B&H and ordered one.  We had been using SM style mics on metal base tabletop stands but they were bulky and always banged loudly if moved.  The AKG stand looks great and works really well with the mic.  We dont look like we are having a press conference anymore when we need a tabletop mic!  The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that it seems a little pricey for just a base but I decided to buy it since I am putting a $400 mic in it.  I do recommend this base.
