Will this work to get a Sennheiser lav ew 122 or ME 2-II wired?
Asked by: Pedro
No, the adapter you need is the Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP). This adapter will convert the 3.5mm plug to XLR and also allow converts phantom power (typically 48V) from a mixer or recorder to plug-in power (approximately 3 to 5V) which the lav mic needs to operate. The Kopul adapter only converts the plug to XLR but will not convert phantom power to plug-in power.

Does this adapter convert 48v phantom power down ...

Does this adapter convert 48v phantom power down to 5v?
Asked by: William
This allows you to connect a mic equipped with a 3.5mm TRS connector to an XLR input. The mics you would be using will need to have their own power supply, it will not allow them to be powered through Phantom Power.

question

Will this work with the microphone cable from the Nady QHM-100 Closed-Back Stereo Headphones with Boom Mic? I'm looking at using it for the BMD ATEM Talkback Converter.
Asked by: Peter P.
Unfortunately the Nady QHM-100 will not operate when connected via an adapter to an XLR input. The mic requires power only able to be provided by a 3.5mm jack. You are able to connect a standard broadcast headset that features a dynamic mic which does not require power via the XLR jack. The Audio Technica BPHS-1 is currently the best we have to offer in terms of price and correct connections (XLR for mic, and 1/4 TRS headphone).

question

Will a wireless lav receiver with a 1/8 mono, male jack work with this adapter?
Asked by: Terry S.
According to the schematic on the back of my package, the Tip and Ring are connected together in this adapter's 1/8 female connector, which means it will only work with a TRS plug. A two-conductor TS plug would be shorted out and not work. See my explanation above in the stereo-mono question for the pin-out.

Will this work to plug Deity connect W-lav pro ...

Will this work to plug Deity connect W-lav pro and W-lav micro lavalier mics into XLR plugs on a Tascam DR-40 linear pcm recorder and a Motu M2 and will I need to use these two devices with or without Phantom power?
Asked by: Thomas
No, the Kopul A-XMMF is not compatible. It is intended for use with microphones that have a 3.5mm connector and does not convert phantom power to plug-in power. The Deity W.Lav Pro and W.Lav Micro use a MicroDot connector. You can use the DPA Microphones DAD6001 MicroDot to 3-pin XLR Adapter (B&H# DPDAD6001BC) which has the correct connectors you need and will convert phantom power to plug-in power for the Deity W.Lav Pro and Micro lavalier mics.

question

Is the mini socket stereo? That is; will it take a stereo signal from, say, a laptop, and covert it to mono?
Asked by: Ken
Yes, and it works great for playing stereo from my laptop speaker output into a mono microphone input on my mixer so I can EQ it, after I also add a 20 or 40 dB pad between this adapter and my mixer. I have this adapter and according to the schematic diagram on the rear of the package, at the 3.5mm mini female jack, the Tip and Ring are connected together and go to pin 2 of the XLR male. The 3.5mm jack Sleeve connects to pin 1 and 3 of the XLR male.
