Manfrotto's 500PLong Video Camera Plate is a long version of the standard plate that comes with the Manfrotto MVH500A and MVA500AH, allowing you more balance adjustment on the head than is available with the standard plate. The plate features approximately 4" of travel, and the tie-down slot provides over 2" of adjustment.

Will this fit the Benro S8 Pro Video Head? Other customers buy the S8's plate for the Manfrotto 502 head, hoping it works the other way around too.
The Benro S8 uses the Benro QR13 Quick Release Plate. This plate is interchangeable with the Manfrotto 504PLONG, 501PL, 519 and the Benro QR6. So yes, the QR13 Quick Release Plate will fit on the Manfrotto 502 since that uses the 504PLONG Long Quick-Release Mounting Plate.

The Manfrotto 577 rapid connect adapter is compatible with this plate. It comes with the MA501PL plate but will also fit the 500PLONG plate. Does this plate have as much adjustment as the plate on the Manfrotto 502AH?
The Manfrotto 500PLONG Video Camera Plate (4.7") is slightly shorter than the Manfrotto 504PLONG (5.5") plate that comes with the Manfrotto 502AH head. Both are compatible with the Manfrotto 502AH head, but the 504PLONG would have a bit more length to move.
