General Brand 6772 reviews

67-72mm Step-Up Ring is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from 67-72 adapter This adapter will attach a 72mm filter to your 67mm lens thread. However, the major flaw of the on mailed to me (a Tokina) is that it is bright silver. This can bring flare ghosting, casting, etc... into the equation. Why this piece would ever be made any color besides matte black is unknown to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from economy step up rings are a very economical to use larger size filters on your smaller lenses, thereby saving you money and also not having to carry around alot of extra filters for each and every lens you bring with you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saves money! It's good to know that there is a way around the lens makers obvious conspiracy of varied filter ring sizes...saves a bundle when you can use filters on two different lens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from does it's job Stepping the Canon 100 Macro (67mm) up to 72mm to use the Canon 72mm Macrolite Adapter. Somewhat rough threading (ok, SCREWING), but I've only used it once. Actually plan on marrying the 2 together FOREVER..... so the rough threading/SCREWING is a nonsequiter. BUT if you have a need for continual attaching & removal of this adapter, you may want to upgrade to a Tiffen or other better made adapter..... just sayin...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't fit my lens I replaced this step-up ring when it would not thread into my Canon 18-135 kit lens. To prove the lens threads were good I picked up a cheap Best Buy 67mm filter which fit great. I upgraded this ring to a B&W (both rings are aluminum) and problem solved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, but useful What can I say about step rings... They are about as simple as can be and would take some real effort to screw up. However, I don't generally use them to employ larger or smaller filters on lenses... Instead I primarily use them so that I can stack various size filters for storage, so that they take up as little space as possible and are well protected against dust and breakage. My stack of filters in sizes 58mm, 67mm, 72mm and 77mm is about the size of a wide angle zoom lens, occupying one of the compartments in my bag or backpack. Back in the days of film I carried a lot more filters and this wouldn't have worked. But today with digital, mostly I now just have UVs (protection), C-Pols and Neutral Density, so a large number of filters aren't needed... just a few of each in sizes that are approptiate for various lenses. Solid caps (filter stackers) cover each end. These are sold in sets only, so you end up with two of each when you stack various size filters this way, or might share with a friend who has similar needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value I purchased this ring for my Nikon D80 and it worked just as it should. It was a great value that allowed me to use an LED ring on the front of the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money saver To avoid purchasing more filters I bought the step up ring so I could use my 72mm red filter on my 67mm lenses. It works precisely as it should.
