Telmax Triton Overview

The TRITON T19B Teleprompter System from Telmax includes the TRITON T19H Teleprompter Head Assembly and the TRITON TS1560 Sled System.

The sophisticated, sleek TRITON Series Teleprompter is modular. The sled (also known as a rig) is based on a dual rail system like many other products available in the film and video industry. The rods are 15mm in diameter and spaced 60mm apart. The components that attach to the rods are the TRITON Head Assembly, TRITON Monitor Mount, and TRITON Camera Mount.

The TRITON Head Assembly includes the monitor, mirror enclosure, beamsplitter mirror, hood, and all necessary hardware, and brackets. This Assembly will fit on the front of any 60mm rail system that utilizes 15mm rods, and comes in all the standard teleprompter sizes.

The Tripod Mount, Monitor Mount, and Rods are collectively called the TRITON Sled System. This Sled System includes all the components that you need to attach the teleprompter head assembly and camera together so they can mount on your tripod. The TRITON Tripod Mount is offset for optimal weight distribution being that the bulk of the weight is at the front of the Teleprompter because of the monitor and mirror.

There are two rail blocks attached to the top of the tripod mount that hold the two 18” long stainless steel 15mm rods. Each rod is locked into position by two high torque tension knobs. By loosening the knobs you can slide the rods forward and backwards to the desired position. This feature comes in really handy when balancing your teleprompter on your tripod after it is all put together.

The 15mm Rods are solid stainless steel which provide for a strong base for supporting the rest of the components including your camera and any other accessory you want to attach to the rods.

The TRITON Camera Mount is constructed in a way that allows for more freedom. This Camera Mount is designed to work with any size camera. The risers of this mount are built on the back of the mount allowing easy access to the attachment knob of the camera, and allowing for the ability of moving the camera lens right up to the mirror if needed.

The mount adjusts in height by loosening the locking thumb screws and pulling up or pushing down on the mount. Once you have the TRITON Camera Mount set at the desired height, you simply lock it in place by tightening the knobs. In addition to adjusting up and down, the TRITON Camera Mount can be adjusted forward or backward so that you can get the camera closer or further away from the mirror. The camera mount is also reversible so you have the ability to completely change the way the mount if overhanging, making it suitable for attaching large, full size cameras or cameras attached to other rail systems.

Whether you are raising, lowering, or moving the rail forward or backward you will be ensured with smooth fluid motion of the components. The TRITON Teleprompter System is constructed out of industrial grade aluminum, is lightweight, and durable. As the system is modular you can have more than one TRITON Teleprompter Head Assembly for the same sled.
