The 7x50 Cometron Binocular from Celestron features large objective lenses and multicoated optics to provide bright and crisp images. The BK7 porro prism design provides a rich depth of view and contrast. This entry-level astronomical binocular will provide you with clear views of the moon, meteor showers or just casual star-gazing.

Rubber eyecups optimize the long eye relief and block stray light from leaking in from your periphery vision, and can be folded down for eyeglass users. A center focus wheel gives easy access with either hand for precision focusing. This full-size binocular is also appropriate for casual use for sports, hunting or nature viewing in full daylight and low-light. The comfortable field of view and large objective lenses create an optical system well-suited for both terrestrial and extraterrestrial viewing.

7x50 Cometron Binocular is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad Good binoculars, but weren't much brighter than a pair of 10x50's that I had, and the right eyecup did not fold back (and stay that way) which is a problem since I wear glasses. There are brighter 7x50's that have better coatings and prisms so if you're getting this for astronomy there are better options. In the daytime they are pretty sharp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price I had some binoculars with more magnification before but it was really hard to keep them steady without shake. These are very sharp and just the right size and magnification to keep steady.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price: one disappointment I bought two of these for Christmas presents for my 6 yr old twin grandsons to look at "nature" in the forested area behind their house. (When you have twins, you DON'T buy one to share). Seem to work fine for the money. Better built than I anticipated. One disappointment. The minimum focusing distance is quite long. They will not be able to look at birds in their bird feeder about 15-20 ft. away through their window. They will lose the lens caps in a week. LOL

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lens barrel misthreaded Unpacked the binoculars and one of the lens barrel was crooked it was screwed into the body at an angle. I may have been able to unthread it and rethread it but I did not trust the collimation would ever be accurate. I will find a more expensive and hopefully better quality product.
